Young lads are egging each other on to push their cars and themselves to the limit. Social media has spawned a new breed of boy racers, who are viewing, sharing, and copying extreme driving content online. This documentary gains unprecedented access to the secretive figures running the underground car scene from their mobile phones, gathering thousands of car fanatics every week to play a cat and mouse game with the police.
Despite police efforts to crack down on these so-called boy racers, young lads stay one step ahead and some are even organising high-speed races on our streets, hitting speeds in excess of 170mph resulting in dangerous and sometimes deadly consequences.
This film is part of Channel 4’s popular UNTOLD strand. UNTOLD delivers defining, noisy, brave, bold, compelling and cheeky journalism on subjects that really matter to it's viewers.
