Independent production finance broker and distributor Silverlining Rights has assembled more than 14 international funding partners to coproduce Blink Films’ new documentary project on King Charles, ahead of the new monarch’s coronation this spring.
My King Charles (pictured), from the producers of Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview, will provide insight into the new king from his early years in the palace through his playboy years in his twenties, to his troubled first marriage, brushes with politics, his role in smoothing recent royal troubles, and the future he now faces.
The project, which well be available as both a 60-minute special and a 120-minute feature documentary that will stream on a major U.S. platform, is being coproduced by funding partners including Channel Nine (Australia), TVNZ, RTL Deutschland, RTL Netherlands, TV2 (Denmark), Discovery (Italy), Movistar+ (Spain), DPG (Belgium), TVI-CNN (Portugal), ServusTV (Austria), Ceska TV (Czech Republic) and Hot8 (Israel).
