This favourite family doctor series is back and the drama starts the moment the waiting room doors open.

Episode one is packed with storylines, which gives a flavour of what to expect from the series ....

Damian returns from a Spanish holiday with an unsightly lump on his eye. Dr. Katy Dudgeon wastes no time prescribing antibiotics — and a stern warning not to pop it.

Next door, Dr. Matt Prestwich faces a tough case when worried mum Lorena fears her daughter Emma may have sleep apnoea. But when little Emma refuses to open her mouth for a tonsil check, Dr. Prestwich has to think fast — and asks for some unusual “video evidence” to help with the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Dr. Libby Pearson meets Ella, who’s terrified her chest and back pain mean pneumonia has returned after last year’s life-threatening infection. A recent X-ray brings answers neither of them wanted.

Elsewhere, Pamela is back for the results of her third poo test. Dr. George Hawche reveals some answers — and sends her on to gastroenterology specialists for more investigation.

It’s brighter news for Olena, who’s found relief from brain fog thanks to HRT. Dr. Dudgeon helps her take the next step — tackling concerns about side effects and libido.

Emotions run high when Dr. Pearson meets long-time patient Peter, who’s struggling with unbearable pain and reveals dark thoughts about his future.

There’s more detective work for Dr. Pearson when Patricia arrives after two decades away. Add in a shocking dietary wake-up call from surgery nutritionist Niloo, a worrying lump check for Mala, and baby Artie’s first vaccinations with Nurse Emily, and the new series proves once again that behind those closed doors, nothing is ever routine in a GP surgery.
