SILVERLINING MARCH NEWS
Silverlining TV • 31st March 2026
This month has seen a flurry of activity with our Spring 2026 Market. Our online markets have become a staple of our calendar since lockdown and this month saw a record number of buyers book meetings where we showcased our new Spring 2026 catalogue. Headliners included a new celebrity-led specialist factual travelogue which has already seen a flurry of pre-sales, new military obs doc series Platoon – which recently debuted on C5 and will air shortly in New Zealand as well as the launch of our much-anticipated new five-star luxury hotel access series, which is set to premiere in the UK later this year. Channels were keen to request screeners for topical docs such as Prince Andrew On Trial and The Trial of Jane Andrews, the former having recently been acquired in Poland, and are delighted to see the return of the wonderful and warm Our Welsh Chapel Dream for it’s third season.
This month we’ve closed a raft of sales. Toxic masculinity continues to be a topic which drives audiences. Channels in Australia, New Zealand, Poland and Belgium have been quick to pick up Men of the Manopshere, the latest offering from James Blake, investigating why men are drawn to the manopshere with candid self observations.
High volume, multi season Make It at Market has proven to be a success in New Zealand with the channel quickly adding further seasons due it’s popularity. In CEE, France and Germany channels have taken wildlife offerings such as My Blue Whale Family and investiagation such as MH17 Murder in the Skies and Air India Crash: What Went Wrong? As well as dipping into some of our late night docs including How to Make it on Onlyfans and Student Sex Workers. Series including World’s Most Beautiful Landscapes ( 8 x 60′ ) Love Cheats ( 12 x 60′ ) and Car Crash Global ( 8 x 60′ ) continue to be popular with channels.
We have been pleased to close new packages with many VOD platforms this month. Reggie Yates Extreme, Love Cheats, The Man Who Fell from the Sky and Stranger in My Family continue to be popular on these platforms. Newer packages have included many of our history, royal and science titles as well as true crime and wildlife with titles such as the wonderful Last Eden: Guyana with Dan O’ Neill hoping to find a new audience.
As we head into April we are delighted to see titles such as Coastal Adventures ( 8 x 60′ ) and Battle of the Brands ( 4 x 60′ ) find homes in Australia and look forward to welcoming new shows to our slate and some exciting announcements!
