Discovery Networks International (DNI), Discovery Canada and PBS have commissioned a four-part series on the relationships forged between humans and animals.

My Wild Affair (4×60’) is being produced by Blink Films and Newroad Media and uses first hand testimonies and rare archive and self-shot footage to tell heart-warming stories.

The series includes the story of Chantek the orang-utan who was raised as a human child and taught sign language in a controversial college experiment, and a seal who travelled 200km to be closer to its human friend.

The series will premiere on Animal Planet in the UK on February 26 at 21.00 and then air on DNI’s channels in 224 countries around the world. It will later air on PBS in the US and on Discovery Canada’s Animal Planet channel.

Dan Chambers from Blink Films is the executive producer along with Helen Hawken from DNI. Bill Margol is overseeing the series for PBS.
